Your Hearing Specialist in Champaign
Teri Quednau
Owner, HIS
Teri isn’t what you may picture when you hear the titles “Hearing Instrument Specialist” and “Owner.” She doesn’t wear a lab coat and she doesn’t carry a briefcase. Instead, this Harley riding, grandma prefers jeans, her Converse sneakers, and her rolling suitcase; more practical.
Teri’s main goal when you walk into her office is for you to feel comfortable to ask questions so that when you leave you feel educated on the power of sound.
When she’s not helping people hear, you can catch Teri riding on two wheels or spending time with her family. She lives next door to her only daughter, Erica, so she can see her grandchildren as often as she can.

Get to Know the Professional: Teri Quednau
Our Team
Our Patient Care Coordinator, Jessica, has been with Quednau Hearing since 2020. She is the first friendly voice you hear when you call our phone and the first smiling face you see when you walk in the door. Jessica says, “I love my job because everyone shares the same vision and is dedicated to the mission. This truly creates a family environment where everybody is there for each other.”
When Jessica isn’t in the office, she loves spending quality time with her children outside in nature. They also have a new puppy, Ruby, and they are enjoying teaching her new tricks.
Jessica is also taking the time to study and learn from Teri. She is looking forward to becoming Quednau Hearing’s newest Hearing Instrument Specialist.

Erica Burris
Office and Marketing Manager
Erica is Teri’s daughter and her Office and Marketing Manager. She’s been working with the company since 2019. Erica’s education is in broadcast journalism. She graduated from the U of I in 2010 and went on to work at WCIA Channel 3 for seven years after that. She then had the privilege of being a stay-at-home mom to her daughter, Loretta.
When Erica saw her mom’s business picking up, she knew she wanted to be a part of it. Watching her mom run and own a business that she’s so passionate about has been inspiring and her favorite part of joining the team. Since then, Erica has welcomed her son, Quaid, to the family and she is lucky to be able to work remotely.

How We Give Back to Our Community
Our owner, Teri Quednau, is an active participant in the community. Teri visits assisted living facilities every 3rd Thursday of the month to provide hearing aid cleanings and change wax guards for those who can’t make it into our office. We also accept Aetna insurance, which through the Illinois Retired Teachers Association provides a hearing aid benefit for retired teachers and their immediate families.
